Barry Bookbinder

Mr. Bookbinder has represented a wide variety of clients over the past twenty-six years, and has successfully resolved their cases through summary judgment, mediation, and trial.  His prominent clients include The Home Depot, Twentieth Century Fox, Trader Joe’s, Hilton Hotels, and the YMCA. He currently is Southern California Regional Counsel for The Home Depot, handling all general liability matters from Santa Barbara to San Diego.

Mr. Bookbinder was an associate at McCune & Harber when the firm opened in 2001, and subsequently became a partner.  Through his many years of experience, Mr. Bookbinder has gained a broad background in multiple areas of litigation.  He currently focuses primarily on premises liability, insurance defense, employment law, and public entity defense.

  • Served as trial counsel for retail stores in numerous cases alleging dangerous condition of commercial property and general negligence.
  • Brought numerous summary judgment motions on behalf of motion picture companies on grounds of “special employment” doctrine.
