Heather M. Bean is a partner with McCune & Harber and is the National Coordinating Counsel for Trader Joe’s. In addition to serving as National Coordinating Counsel, Ms. Bean has considerable experience in defending premises liability and products liability claims. She also advises clients on business risk management and strategy issues.
Ms. Bean also defends both private and public entity clients in employment related matters in both state and federal court. She has successfully defended employers in cases involving discrimination, harassment and retaliation under Title VII and the California Fair Employment & Housing Act.
Prior to joining McCune & Harber in 2006, Ms. Bean’s practice focused on employment law, primarily handling workers’ compensation cases and subrogation matters for a wide variety of self-insured clients, corporations and insurance companies throughout California.

Successfully obtained dismissals through demurrers and Motions for Summary Judgment on behalf of public and private entity clients on issues involving premises liability and dangerous condition of public property.
Extensive experience in employment litigation, resulting in the dismissal of numerous cases through Motions for Summary Judgment in matters involving harassment, discrimination and retaliation on behalf of public entity clients.
Experience handling civil appeals before the California Court of Appeal.
