Defense Verdict Obtained an Employment Case and Binding Arbitration

In a three-day, binding arbitration, a plaintiff alleged wrongful termination and violation of California Labor Code Section 970, claiming that the defendant persuaded her, under false representations, to leave her job out of state to accept a position in California. We triggered the arbitration clause in plaintiff’s contract and during arbitration proved that plaintiff’s termination was for just cause, and that no false representations had been made. A full defense verdict was rendered at arbitration.
