Maurice S. Kane

Maurice S. Kane is an attorney with McCune & Harber.  Mr. Kane is experienced in state and federal civil litigation and appeals and in administrative proceedings.  Of note, Mr. Kane has accumulated experience handling public entity liability and employment litigation on behalf of governmental agencies, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Mr. Kane has extensive experience in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour provisions of the Labor Code, and the Fair Employment & Housing Act. He has handled tort litigation through trial, including dangerous condition of public property, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, premises liability, and product liability claims. Mr. Kane has handled clients before the State Personnel Board, the State Labor Commissioner, and other administrative agencies and civil litigation. He has served as a temporary judge in Los Angeles County Superior Court in traffic, small claims and unlawful detainer matters and has served as an arbitrator and mediator in attorney-client fee arbitrations and general civil matters.
