Sherry Lawrence is an associate at McCune & Harber. Ms. Lawrence has extensive experience representing public entities, including the County of Los Angeles and the City of Los Angeles, in both state and federal court, representing clients through every stage of litigation, up to and including trial. She has successfully handled mediations and negotiated numerous favorable settlements for clients. Ms. Lawrence has been responsible for handling cases wherein Los Angeles Police Officers were alleged to have caused serious injuries by deploying less lethal munitions during periods of civil unrest. Ms. Lawrence also has many years of experience in representing peace officers who are under investigation by their Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau, handling those matters from the initial investigation and client interview through Administrative Hearings and Administrative Writs of Mandate. Ms. Lawrence has also specialized in quasi-criminal “Qui Tam” actions for an insurance defense firm where long-term disability or other insurance fraud was suspected. She has also investigated citizen complaints lodged with the California State Bar against attorneys.
